Capital intelectual y desempeño en instituciones de educación superior

espanolLas instituciones de educacion superior (IES) tienen como uno de sus objetivos la produccion y difusion del conocimiento; se constituyen en agentes basicos porque contribuyen al avance y evolucion de las comunidades a traves de la formacion de recursos humanos. Por ello, se plantea como objetivo el analisis de las principales funciones de las IES tomando como base las dimensiones del capital intelectual (CI) y la relacion con el desempeno institucional. Para recolectar los datos se uso un instrumento en escala de Likert. De acuerdo con el analisis utilizando ANOVA y por medio del estadistico F de Snedecor se determino que la variable dependiente Desempeno esta influida por la variable independiente Capital Intelectual. Los resultados indican que en la institucion existen areas de oportunidad en cuanto a la gestion del CI que pueden influir positivamente en los indicadores de desempeno. A manera de conclusion, se destaca la importancia de que la institucion responda a las exigencias del entorno como formadora de recurso humano de alto nivel por medio de la gestion adecuada de las tres dimensiones que constituyen el CI. Therefore there is aimed at the analysis of the main functions of the IES on the basis of the dimensions of the intellectual capital and the relationship with the institutional performance. An instrument in Likert scale was used to collect data. According to analysis using ANOVA and through the estadisitico F Snedecor was determined that the dependent variable performance is influenced by the independent variable Intellectual Capital. The results indicate that there are areas of opportunity in terms of the management of the CI that can positively influence the performance indicators in the institution. In conclusion, is weighted the importance that the institution responds to the demands of the environment such as training of human resources of high level by means of the proper management of the three dimensions that constitute the intellectual capital.
