Theory and phenomenology of TMDs
2013
The 3-dimensional partonic structure of nucleons in momentum space is encoded in the so-called Transverse Momentum Dependent distribution functions (TMDs). A brief summary of the actual theoretical and phenomenological understanding of TMDs and their role in several physical processes is presented. In particular the Sivers function and its QCD evolution are discussed.
