Electronic NO 2 Sensor Using Merocyanine-Doped Langmuir Blodgett Films
1995
The NO2 sensor using merocyanine-doped Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films, the mechanism of which is based on a change in surface conductivity due to the attachment of electrophilic gas molecules, was investigated. Its sensitivity depended on the number of LB layers. The sensor with 5 layers was most sensitive and had a very fast response time of less than 5 s, good reproducibility and maximum sensitivity in the low NO2 concentration range of 0 to 10 ppm.
