The study addressesthe nascent stage of development of self-regulatory organizations in the market of pension planning services. The article describes the formation and the features of the modern Russian model of financial market self-regulation. Admittedly in want of improvement, the pension insurance system needs to find a balance between government regulation, self-regulation and freedom of market relations.
