SUMMARY Perioperative Myocardial Infarction in Thoracic Surgery: Awareness, Diagnosis, Follow-up and Treatment Perioperative myocardial infarction (PMI) constitute a serious problem which has considerable impact on patient’s morbidity and mortality. Recognition of PMI seems more difficult in patients without previous history or risk factor. However early diagnosis and intervention could improve outcome. We herein present a case of PMI in a patient who had no history of cardiac disease.
