Constitutive equation of HPb59-1 brass during hot compression and its application

The high-temperature deformation behavior of HPb59-1 brass was investigated by isothermal compression tests in the temperature range of 650-800 ℃ and the strain rate range of 0.1-10 s-1.The true stess-true strain curves show that the stress level decreases with increasing of temperature and decreasing of strain rate.The constitutive equation of HPb59-1 brass was proposed by means of fitting the experimental data and verified.Then,the hot extrusion process of a part with square flange was analyzed using Deform-3D and the forming laws were obtained.Finally,the validity of this research results were proved by practice,which provided some references for engineering application.
