The invention relate to a locking device for connection of a driving air cylinder and a side release wedge. The locking device comprises the side release wedge, a clamping plate, a connection block, the driving air cylinder and a driving piston rod, wherein the side release wedge is fixedly connected with the clamping plate, the connection block is matched with the driving piston rod through threads, a T-shaped boss is arranged at the connection end of the side release wedge and the clamping plate, a groove is formed in the clamping plate, and the transverse side of the T-shaped boss and one end of the connection block are arranged in the groove. The locking device effectively avoids looseness during movement of the driving air cylinder and the side release wedge, and ensures the driving air cylinder and the side release wedge to work safely and stably.
