Hip Problems in Children with Trisomy 21

2019
Hip abnormalities are common in children with Trisomy 21. Ligamentous laxity, hypotonia, and joint hypermobility are thought to be primary causes. Secondary patho-anatomical factors play important roles and are treatable. The reported failure rates and complications are high. In this chapter, we examine the current practices and associated evidence.
