An arrangement for avoiding ghost images or interfering reflections in an image-forming optical system

A light intercepting frame 30 which has an opening 34 which permits only useful luminous flux to pass therethrough, is provided on a final lens surface of a final lens (L22) of a zoom lens, Fig. 2 (not shown). The opening 34 is formed in a light intercepting wall 32, and has a tapered edge 36. The wall 32 and edge 36 can be treated with an anti-reflection treatment.
