Access control method and device

The embodiment of the invention discloses an access control method and device, relates to the field of wireless communication, and provides an access control method for applications. According to the scheme, the access control method comprises the steps that a terminal receives system broadcast messages sent by a network side, and access limitation information is read from the system broadcast messages; a timer is started according to the access limitation information, when an access request or a connection establishment request needs to be sent to the network side before timeout of the timer, whether an application corresponding to the access request or the connection establishment request is a specific application or an emergency application is judged, if the application is the specific application or the emergency application, the access request or the connection establishment request is sent to the network side, and if the application is neither the specific application nor the emergency application, the access request or the connection establishment request is prevented from being sent to the network side. Clearly, according to the scheme, the purpose that the terminal is prevented from sending access requests and connection establishment requests of ordinary applications except the specific application and the emergency application is achieved, and therefore the access control method for the applications is implemented.
