Análise comparativa entre a espuma de poliéster e poliéter na capacidade de limpeza de limas endodônticas

The objective of this study was to analyze comparativily, “in vitro”, with aid of the scanning electron microscopy, the effectiveness of the polyether and polyester foam in the capacity of cleanness of endodontics files after the chemical mechanical preparation of root canals. For this, 8 single root teeth and 60 Flexofile. For the cleanness of the files during the chemical mechanical preparation, polyether foam was used of density 38 kg/m3 and polyester foam of density 30kg/ m3 humidify with sodium hypochlorite 1%. Two control groups had been part of the work. Three calibrated observers attributed the electromicrographys scores one to four, like a quantity of residues current in their active part. Was verified that it did not have significant statistical difference between the polyether and polyester foam in the capacity of cleanness of endodontics files. One also concluded that none of foam utilized was able to clean the files totally.
