An efficient chirped-pulse multi-pass preamplifier

A multi-pass preamplifier with two pairs of spherical mirrors has been developed, and an extraction efficiency as high as 23%, has been obtained. This corresponds to a gain of 4 x 10(6). To our best knowledge, this is the highest efficiency achieved for multi-pass preamplifiers.
