Cardiopulmonary Bypass Operation of Congenital Heart Disease Under 7Kg Body Weight Infants

Objective To disscus the opportunity,method and peroperation period management for congenital heart disease with Low body weight infents(boy:13,girl:10,mean month:8.74±3.74m,mean body weight 6.14±0.81Kg). Methods 23 cases of congenital heart disease,who was low body weight infants(7Kg) were successive operated from Jan.2004 to Nov.2005 in ours hospital, of them including ventricular septal defect(VSD) with pulmonary hypertension(PH) in 6 cases, atrial septal defect(ASD) with PH in 2 cases, VSD , patent ductus arteriosus(PDA)complicated with PH in one case, VSD,ASD. patent oval foramen (OR) complicated PH in 9 cases, atrial ventricular septal defect(AVSD),right ventricle double outlet, trilogy of Fallot, trilogy of Fallot,pulmonary with complicated ventricle defect in one case, respectively. Results All of 23 cases underwent cardiopulmonary bypass open heart eradical surgery stageⅠ, with 4 cases occurring atrial-ventricular blocking transient,3 cases had pulmonary atelectasis etc complications, but all sick infants were cured, only a case dead(mortality 8.78%),one of them was dead from low cardiac output in the operation period. Conclusion The cardiopulmonary bypass operation could obtain satisfactory efficacy for infants with congenital heart disease, acording to physiologic features of infants, the surgeon formulates a reasonable treatment schme is successful key.
