Abies beshanzuensis M. H. Wu, endemic to China, is one of the most endangeted twelve plants in the world. By means of the point quarter method of plotless sampling technique, epiphytic bryophytes on the tree trunk of Ables beshanzuensis were investigated from tree base to tree top, and twenty-seven species of bryophytes have been confirmed to be present. Among them, Herhertus aduncus, Schlotheimia pungens,Taxiphyllum taxirameum, Radula cavifolia and Cheilolejeunea imbrlcata are the most dominant species.Growth heights of twenty-seven epiphytic bryophytes on the tree trunk are illustrated, and epiphytic bryophytes are richer on the north side of the tree trunk than on the other sides.
