Structural characteristics of permeable materials from metal fibers

1977
1. The maximum pore size of a permeable fiber material is a unique characteristic of an ordered porous structure. 2. The mean hydraulic pore diameter depends on the thickness of the material, and can only be utilized as a structural characteristic in combination with the coefficient of tortuosity of the pore channels. 3. Materials from thin fibers are characterized by a high uniformity of fiber and pore distribution throughout the whole volume.
