Trawl-Board Sediment Sampler

The design and operation of an underway sediment sampler are described, with particular reference to exploratory shrimp fishing. The sampler is fitted onto the shoe of a trawl otter board and automatically collects a bottom sediment sample at the beginning of a trawl tow.
