Studies on organ differentiation of adventitions root of two species in vitro: The relationship between the changes in the isoperoxidases, endogenous IAA and the adventitions root formation

2000
The changes of endogenous IAA and isoperoxidases of Citrus grandis and Paulownia fortunei (Seem) Hemsl. during the organ differentiation of adventitions root are studied. The results show that the contents of endogenous IAA reached their peaks on the 3rd and the 2nd day. Isozyme numbers and their activity dropped remarkably. The dropping time of the numbers and its activity of isoperoxidases is the same as that of endogenous IAA peaks and emerging time of the root primordia. The variation of zymogram occured earlier the visible morphological change. The authors suggested to use isoperoxidases as a criterion to judge the organ differentiation of adventitions root of the two species.
