R/S analysis of climate changes in Shiyang river basin in recent 50 years

The trend of climate changes in Shiyang river basin was studied by using the R/S analysis method and temperature and precipitation data gathered at three weather stations in the recent 50 years(1953-2006) were analyzed.Calculations proved that the Hurst exponents of all elements are beyond 0.5,which indicates that all elements have evident Hurst phenomena.The results showed that temperature and precipitation have an increasing trend in Shiyang river basin in future.
