Sensitized photolysfs of bis(acetyllacetonato)copper(%P); general reaction pattern

Bis(acetylacetonato)copper(II) \a the calculated free energy changes (AG) associated \\ith the electron transfer froni the akailable data support the proposal. Chemical reactions of excited state anthracene and I-cyanonaphthaiene \i.ith Cu(acac), may aiso occur. Irradiation of C~~(acac), in the presence of triphenylphosphine and benzophenone led to an excellent yield of C~~(acac)iPPh,), without causing precipitation of copper(1) complexes.
