An empirical model of methanol formation during oxygen delignification of wheat straw pulp
2011
The formation rule of methanol during oxygen delignification (OD) of wheat straw pulp was studied in this paper. It was found that methanol formation is linear to active alkali dosage, oxygen pressure, reaction temperature, and temperature holding time, from which an e mpi r ical model,i.e.,CMethanol=α·(AA)~(1/2)·(Tm-)·(PO2)n·Log(0.2547t+1) was established. The results show that the present model has a good correlation (R 2=0.977) with the experimental data for predicting the formation amount of methanol during delignification. So,it will be a good guidance for aiming at reducing the methanol formation in the oxygen delignification of wheat straw pulp.
