A trajectory synthesis of free moving objects for continuous queries

2021
A test dataset of moving objects is needed to verify continuous spatial queries defined with a vessel’s sensors and radars. The trajectories of free moving objects should be synthesized for testing continuous spatial query rules against various trajectory patterns such as approaching, retreating, U-turning, hovering, detouring. We propose a simulation framework that defines simple paths, simple movement patterns, and inertia-based trajectories for generating test data sets of free moving objects. The experimental results demonstrate both the effectiveness and scalability of the proposed simulation method for generating a test data set of free moving objects.
