The surface modification of inorganic materials based on the diazonium salts

The surface modification by diazonium salts is a kind of new and effective surface modification methods,it can modify inorganic,organic,biological materials.The characteristics and the methods of surface modification for inorganic materials by the diazonium salts were reviewed,such as electrochemical,redox,UV irradiation grafting,thermal chemical reaction,mechanical grafting,ultrasonic and microwave assisted modified.The application related to the surface modification of inorganic materials based on the dianzonium salts in recent years,such as carbon nanotubes,graphite,glass carbon,metals,semiconductor,quartz,and diamond nanoparticles,etc was especially discussed.
