Channel quality indicator determination system and method in coordinated multi-point communication

Provided are a channel quality indicator (CQI) determination system and method in coordinated multiple point communication for enabling a UE to report an accurate CQI to a base station in coordinated multi-point communication without increasing downlink pilot signal overheads. The method comprises: receiving, by a UE, scheduling information transmitted by a base station, wherein the scheduling information comprises first information configured to instruct the UE to measure an instantaneous CQI value in an n th subframe and report the instantaneous CQI value in an n+K th subframe, n is a positive integer, K is a predetermined value, and the n th subframe is a subframe where the base station performs coordinated multi-point (CoMP) transmission scheduling for the UE; and measuring, by the UE, the instantaneous CQI value in the n th subframe, and reporting the instantaneous CQI value to the base station in the n+K th subframe.
