Inelastic scattering of gaussian beams by active molecules embedded in a sphere

1988
When an electromagnetic wave is incident on a dielectric body filled with active molecules, there also will be inelastically scattered waves in addition to elastically scattered waves. In this paper, making use of the expansion of vector spherical wave functions of Gaussian beams and the method of dyadic Green's functions, we analyze the problem of inelastic scattering of Gaussian laser beams by active molecules embedded in a two-layer concentric sphere and we also give some numerical results for the first time.
