Method and apparatus for actuating an electromagnetic load

Described is a method and device for controlling an electromagnetic consumer which includes a moving element, in particular a solenoid valve, for control of the fuel feed into an internal-combustion engine. Within a particular time window, a switching time is determined by analysing the change with time of a parameter representing the flow of fuel through the electromagnetic consumer. During this time window, the voltage is controlled by clock-pulse control.
