Identification the Glycyrrhiza uralensisOrigin Using Canopy Spectroscopy

2011
Objective: To develop a novel method to identify the Glycyrrhiza uralensis from different geographic regions. Methods: Based on the canopy spectral data in visible-infrared region of the G. uralensis, the discrimination of the G. uralensis origin from different places was conducted using the Fisher LDA with sensitive wavelengths responding to the G. uralensis selected by Wilks’lambda step-wise method. Results: The overall discriminate accuracy was up to 98.3 % using the 17 sensitive wavelengths selected. Conclusion: Results demonstrate that it may be an effective way to discriminate the Glycyrrhiza uralensis origin from different geographic regions by the visible-infrared spectroscopy.
