Determining Source Parameters of Active Faults and Ground Fissures in Qingxu(Shanxi,China) Region

Spirit leveling observations,together with engineering geological data are employed to determine the source parameters of active faults and ground fissures in the Qingxu region using two double dislocation fault models.The optimal model suggests that: ① the relationship between active faults and ground fissures in the study region appear to be a "Y" pattern.② The present rifting velocities of ground fissures are up to 15.1 mm·a-1,greater than their corresponding dip slips.③ The lower boundary of ground fissures is at depths of around 380 m.④ The dip-slip rates of ground fissures are greater than those of active faults(1.6 mm·a-1).The results are consistent with hydrological and geophysical data.
