Flat Pigmented Lesions on the Lower Limb

2020
Subcorneal haemorrhage represents a common event, especially in acral sites and in young patients who practice sports. It is often a diagnostic challenge, as the differential diagnosis with melanocytic lesion may be difficult. Dermatoscopy is generally useful for the correct diagnosis, although sometimes it is not decisive. A scraping test is a quick and simple procedure that may help in the diagnosis of subcorneal haemorrhage presenting on dermatoscopy with parallel ridges or an atypical pattern.
