Psychophysics of Modern Camouflage
1982
Abstract : In October 1981 the Army began to issue the new Battle Dress Uniform. The most conspicuous feature of this garment is its Woodland Pattern that was designed to meet the Army's primary camouflage objectives for personnel in temperate regions, day and night, summer and winter. This paper describes the applications of psychophysical principles that led to the development of the Woodland Pattern.
