Pathophysiology and genetics in pituitary tumors

Abstract Pituitary tumors are monoclonal neoplasms whose pathogenesis is complex and still partly obscure. Germline mutations exist in around 5% of patients with pituitary tumors in isolated or syndromic settings. With the exception of AIP, which is mutated in 20% of young (
