The Job Satisfaction of Employees Working in General Insurances Public Sector Companies of India

The Indian insurance industry had a rapid growth rate due to inducting privatizations and IRDA- 1999 to the Indian insurance market. In the insurance sector, General Insurances Public Sector Companies of India plays a magnificent role. Growth of industry depends on its pillars i.e. employees; employees do their best performance when there are satisfied with their job. Employee job satisfaction is essential to face the dynamic and ever-increasing challenges of maintaining the productivity of the organization by keeping their workforce constantly engaged and motivated. The idea behind this study therefore to evaluate the job satisfaction of employees working in General Insurances Public Sector Companies of India. It focuses on the relative importance of job satisfaction factors and their impacts on the overall job satisfaction of employees. The overall job satisfaction of the employees in General Insurances Public Sector Companies of India is at a positive level. Hence this research was mainly undertaken to investigate the significance of factors such as recruitment and selection and training & development the job satisfaction. This paper presents a comprehensive diagnosis of job satisfaction indices of General Insurances Public Sector Companies of India, and the factors causing the dissatisfaction & suggestions to improve them.
