Recent progress of the SG-II upgrade Petawatt laser beamline

Pulse contrast measurements at the SG-II upgrade Petawatt (PW) laser beamline showed its capability to deliver pulses with 10 6 temporal contrast. By shaping of seeding pulse in spectral domain, amplified chirped pulses with a spectral width of 6nm have been realized, which means chirped pulses could be compressed to a pulse duration below 500fs or shorter.
