Conductance oscillations induced by ballistic snake states in a graphene heterojunction

Exotic electron dynamics called snake states are predicted along a p–n junction in graphene. Taychatanapat et al. now demonstrate that such snake states can manifest themselves through oscillatory conductance across the junction, revealing their twisting nature.
