Epidemiological characteristics of 122 novel influenza A (H1N1) cases in Fujian Province, China, May-July 2009.

To understand the epidemiological characteristics of novel influenza A (H1N1) in Fujian Province,China,,information related to the novel influenza A (H1N1) cases in Fujian Province was collected from China Information System for Disease Control and Prevention and official website of Fujian Public Health Bureau,China(http://www.fjphb.gov.cn). A total of 122 cases of novel influenza A (H1N1) were reported in Fujian from May 23 to July 13 2009,among which 107 cases were imported from foreign countries (districts),2 cases were from other province in China,13 cases were infected by the imported cases,the secondary attack rate was 2.2%. 53.3% of 122 cases were found by active surveillance system in Fujian. No community outbreak was detected during the period from first imported case in May 23 to July 13,generally the clinic symptoms of the cases were mild.
