Blades and Microblades, Percussion and Pressure: Towards the Evolution of Lithic Technologies of the Stone Age Period, Russian Far East

On the Pleistocene–Holocene border in the regions of the Russian Far East, a number of original archaeological cultures were developing several techniques of blade and microblade production. Based on the new series of carbon dates and detailed excavations, it is now possible to present a more detailed picture of the technological peculiarities and differences in traditions of flintknapping for the Paleolithic and the Neolithic.
