FFT and Digital Characterization of Random Surfaces

This paper offers a method which is used to analyse and characterize the space features of random surfaces by FFT(fast fourier transform),and the whole analysis to the PSDF(power spectrum density function),ACVF(autocovariance function)or ACF(autocorrelation function)of random surfaces. The surface signals are analysed and discussed in the time and frequence domain by base-2 DIT-FFT(discrete in-time FFT).The superiority in the principle method and the caculating speed is expressed.
