Experimental Study on Storage Performance Degradation and Suppression of Permanent Magnet Electromagnetic Brake

2022
Permanent magnet electromagnetic brake(PMEMB) is the optimal solution in the redundancy differential actuation system of aircraft. In this paper, the performance degradation factors of PMEMB which have strong correlation with time factors are analyzed systematically. It is considered that the electrochemical corrosion of iron-based friction pair is the main weak link of performance degradation of the PMEMB. Based on the analysis of the physical properties such as wear resistance and hardness gradient of the surface strengthening layer of the friction pair, the simulated accelerated storage test scheme is formulated with temperature and humidity as acceleration factors, the performance degradation laws of the PMEMB are discussed, and the correlation between the storage environment conditions and the distribution of braking performance degradation is studied, and the performance recoverability is verified. Different corrosion inhibition measures, such as cathodic protection, volatile chemical molecular protection and three-proofing lacquer coating, are compared and studied, and the optimal inhibition scheme is obtained. Finally, the performance degradation and characterization technology of PMEMB for further study are proposed.
