Contemporary understanding of pregnancy management with APS patients

Antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) is the cause of many obstetrical complications such as fetal loss syndrome, HELLP-syndrome and premature birth. High risk of adverse obstetric outcomes in APS specifies pregnancy planning and selection of adequate therapy for pregnant woman with this pathology. This paper discusses the diagnosis criteria for APS and treatment regimen during pregnancy. Are presented proprientary surveillance data of 22 pregnant women with a diagnosis of primary APS and clinical surveillance of gestation course, labor management and postpartum period of a patient with APS.Key words: antiphospholipid syndrome, fetal loss syndrome, acetylsalicylic acid, low molecular weight heparins.
