Hair-care cosmetic

PURPOSE: To provide the subject hair-care cosmetic capable of preventing split hair or hair breakage, protecting the hair surface, recovering damages of the hair, improving combability and dressability of the hair, growing healthy-quality hair and keeping the beautiful hair state. CONSTITUTION: The objective hair-care cosmetic exhibiting the above-mentioned excellent treatment effects can be obtained by blending a bis-type alkaloid such as a biscoclaurine type alkaloid, a bisisoquinoline type alkaloid or a bisbenzylisoquinoline type alkaloid, preferably the biscoclaurine type alkaloid as the essential component, e.g. in an amount of 0.0001 to 0.1 pts.wt., preferably 0.0005 to 0.002 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. cosmetic. In addition, the above- mentioned alkaloids can be extracted from a plant belonging to Menispermaceae, Berberidaceae, Ranunculaceae, Nymphaeaceae, Magnoliaceae, Anonaceae, Lauraceae or Ranunculaceae, e.g. Stephania cepharantha Hayata, Stephania japonica Miers or Cocculus laurifolius, preferably Stephania cepharantha Hayata by the conventional method.
