Syntheses and spectroscopic studies on tetraaza macrocyclic complexes of praseodymium(III)

Abstract Praseodymium(III) macrocyclic complexes of types [Pr(L)(H 2 O) 2 ]Cl 3 , [Pr(mac 1 )]Cl 3 and [Pr(mac 2 )(H 2 O) 2 ]Cl 3 (L = ligands derived by the condensation of diacetyl or benzil with semicarbazide or thiosemicarbazide; mac 1 = macrocyclic ligands derived by the condensation of diacetyl or benzil with carbohydrazide; mac 2 = macrocyclic ligands derived by the condensation of diacetyl or benzil with semicarbazide, thiosemicarbazide or thiocarbohydrazide) have been prepared and characterized by conductance magnetic moment, spectral data, thermal and elemental analyses.
