Response to rejoinder to: M.B. Kaplan, S. Solomon, A coming boom in commercial shipping? The potential for rapid growth of noise from commercial ships by 2030, Mar. Policy 73 (Supplement C) (2016) 119–121

Abstract We appreciate that the authors of this rejoinder took time to engage with our study. However, we suggest that in their assertion of flaws they missed the point of our investigation. We hope that this response clarifies our goals and the reason for our approach.
