Process for synthesizing loratadine, which consists in a. the reaction of 2- (4, 4-dimethyl-4, 5-dihydrooxazol-2-yl) -3-methylpyridine of formula I with 3-chlorobenzyl chloride of in the presence of a strong base, to give [3- [2- (3-chlorophenyl) ethyl] -2- (4, 4til-4, 5-dihydrooxazol-2-yl) pyridine of formula II b. reacting compound II with the Grignard reagent of 4-chloro-N-methylpiperidine, in an inert solvent, to give [3- [2- (3-chlorophenyl) ethyl] -2- (4, 4-dimethyl-2- (1-methyl-piperidin-4-yl) oxazolidin-2-yl] pyridine of formula III which becomes loratadine known methods.
