Röntgemographische Analyse der ZrO2-Polymorphen an Pulvern

Inter-laboratory tests show that radiographic examinations in a system of ZrO 2 powder samples give quantitatively similar results. Various measuring methods of quantitative radiographic ZrO 2 -determination are compared to a new technique described here. It shows that the integral intensity values of the (111) reflex, measuring only half of the peak and correcting the base line, provides the best results. Further the new method shows a margin of error within the calculation of each ZrO 2 -polymorphics that is below the margin of error for the equipment and the sample specific error. The process described shows a practical method for allowing quantitative radiographic definition of individual ZrO 2 -polymorphics that can be implemented in any laboratory in a short time with relatively little expenditure.
