Research on Noise Measurement of a Self-propelled Weapon System and Its Noise-Reduction Measures

Purpose to research on the noise measurement of a self-propelled weapon system operating environment and its noise-reduction measures. Method measure and determine whether the noise value of this weapon system satisfies operator’s demands for operating environment and propose reduction measures against noise. Result the operating environment noise value of this weapon system almost reaches the maximal limitation defined in both Chinese National Standard (GB) and National Military Standard (GJB) and has negative effects on operators’ performance and health. It is imperative to take measures to reduce noises so as to ensure comfort for operators. Conclusion the research results can be provided as directions for further improvements in hardware and theoretical references for noises control of other similar self-propelled weapon system, thus having realistic significance.
