Akustycznie wywołane potencjały ślimakowe u osób z implantem ślimakowym – doniesienie wstępne

2019
Contemporary cochlear implant systems through direct stimulation of the auditory nerve endings ensure proper acoustic reactions. However, a thorough examination of the electrically stimulated auditory pathway, and then appropriate - optimal for a given patient - setting of stimulation parameters is a prerequisite for the proper functioning of the implant. To this end, both psychoacoustic and objective methods are used. Until recently, with the help of objective methods in users of cochlear implants, it was possible to carry out measurements of the functioning of the auditory nerve endings and subsequent, higher levels of the auditory pathway. Currently, due to the measurements of acoustically evoked potentials from the auditory nerve, we can also study the activity of preserved auditory cells and learn more about the mechanisms functioning in the cochlea.
