Modeling PRISMA-32 and URAN Responses to the Passage of Extensive Air Showers

2021
The PRISMA-32 and URAN arrays were created as parts of the NEVOD Unique Scientific Facility (MEPhI) to study the neutron component of extensive air showers (EASes). The responses of the facilities to the passage of an EAS are modeled to correctly interpret the experimental data of the arrays. This allows determination of the lateral distribution function of the charged EAS component and the dependence of the average number of neutrons detected on the EAS size.
