Variation of endogenous hormones in hawthorn seeds during the period of dormancy and germination

The content of GA_(3),IAA and ABA in different parts of hawthorn seeds harvested on different date, dry-stored at the room temperature and processed under stratification was analyzed with HPLC respectively. Meanwhile, the content of ABA tended to increase in early days of stratification and decrease in later days. It could be inferred that GA_(3) and IAA take some effect in breaking dormancy and promoting germination, and ABA plays an important role in inhibiting germinaton.
