Differential Graded Algebras

The purpose of this chapter is to review elementary facts about homological algebra used in the scope of this thesis. In a first part we recall the notions of associative and commutative algebras and establish in this context the terminology for the tensor-, symmetric- and exterior algebra. We also cover Lie algebras and their representations.
