QUANTIFICATION OF SECONDARY METABOLITES FROM ZIZIPHUS MAURITIANA LAM. FRUITS' PERICARP

Ziziphus mauritiana Lam. is a very useful plant for human health that is found all over the world. It has different types of primary and secondary metabolites that show their effect in anticancer, antimicrobial activity, liver damage treatment etc. The dried fruit of pericarp was used in this research and detected the secondary metabolites quantity. The 25.8% flavonoids, 92.65% saponins and 5µg/ml tannins were found in it. One of the most important point is that the fruit pericarp has the above quantity while it was used in wet condition then the primary and secondary metabolites quantities could be increased.
