Relationship between Infant Pneumonia and Environment in Rural Areas

Objective Discussing incidence factors of infant pneumonia in rural areas can provide the basis for maternity and child health in rural areas.Methods The investigation objects are measured with indoor air quality and relative indexes of infants.Results The incidence rate of infant pneumonia in smoking family is much higher than that of non-smoking family.Conclusion Indoor air pollution,especially smoking family containing SO2,NO2,sulfuric acid mist and so on,can affect infants' respiratory system and intrapulmonary immune function,thus induce infant intrapulmonary infection.So indoor environment and infant pneumonia in rural areas have closed relationships.
